Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003
The Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) regulates financial management at the municipal (local government) level. Enacted in 2003, it complements the PFMA by establishing the framework for budgeting, revenue collection, expenditure, procurement, and financial reporting at the municipal level.
