The Code du Sport

France is distinctive among major jurisdictions in possessing a comprehensive codified sports law. The Code du Sport, established by Ordinance No. 2006-596 of 23 May 2006 and subsequently consolidated, organises all legislative and regulatory provisions relating to physical and sporting activities into a single coherent instrument.
