Overview
The Platform-to-Business (P2B) Regulation promotes fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediation services (platforms) and online search engines. It requires platforms to provide clear terms and conditions, disclose the main parameters determining ranking, establish internal complaint-handling systems, and include mediation options. Platforms may not suspend or terminate business users’ accounts without providing reasons. The regulation also requires online search engines to disclose the main parameters affecting ranking. Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 applies from 12 July 2020.
