The primary legislation includes the <strong>Industrial Property Law</strong> (Law 9.279/1996, <em>Lei da Propriedade Industrial</em>), the <strong>Copyright Law</strong> (Law 9.610/1998), and the <strong>Software Law</strong> (Law 9.609/1998). The <strong>National Institute of Industrial Property</strong> (INPI) administers industrial property rights.
