The United Nations Treaty Collection (UNTC) is the official repository of treaties and international agreements registered with the UN Secretariat under Article 102 of the UN Charter. It contains over 560,000 treaty records, including the full text of over 250,000 treaties in their original languages, plus status information, signatures, ratifications, and reservations. The collection covers multilateral treaties deposited with the Secretary-General and bilateral treaties registered by member states.

Access Methods

The UNTC provides a web search interface with multiple search options including treaty title, subject, date, participant, and depositary status. The database includes the United Nations Treaty Series (UNTS) in PDF format. The Cumulative Index provides subject-based navigation. The authentic text of treaties is available in up to six UN languages. The API enables programmatic access to treaty metadata and status information.
