The database covers all cases from the Court’s establishment in 1959 to the present. Documents are available in English and French, the Court’s official languages. The database also includes the European Convention on Human Rights and its protocols.
Search and API
HUDOC offers an advanced search interface with filters by article of the Convention, application number, date, language, importance level (Key Cases, High Importance, Medium Importance), and originating State. Results include the case title, application number, date, linked articles, and a brief summary. The HUDOC API enables programmatic access to case data. The Court also publishes statistical reports on its caseload and trends.
