EUR-Lex is the official online repository of European Union law, operated by the Publications Office of the EU. It provides free access to the Official Journal of the EU, treaties, legislation (regulations, directives, decisions), preparatory acts, EU case law (Curia), international agreements, and parliamentary questions. Documents are available in all 24 official EU languages.

Data Access

EUR-Lex offers multiple access methods: web search with advanced filters, the Cellar API for machine-readable access (RDF/XML, JSON, PDF), and bulk data downloads. Each document is identified by a CELEX number and includes rich metadata including subject matter codes, legal basis, dates, and procedural history. The SPARQL endpoint enables semantic queries across the entire corpus.
